About
The woman behind the lens
As a London based female photographer, I first began my photography journey by taking travel photos and self portraits.
After many years studying and working within the fashion industry - first interning at the likes of Vogue, Glamour and Harper's Bazaar, then moving into the worlds of visual merchandising and e-commerce - I felt creatively stifled. I wanted to be able to create my own images, bringing some of the many ideas in my mind to life. As a stylist, I always enjoyed coming up with entire concepts, from photographic style to locations, while trusting other photographers and hair and make up artists to complete the vision.
While I enjoyed the challenges and creativity that self-portraiture brought me, I wanted to spend more time behind the lens and collaborating with other people. This is where I started my foray into offering professional client portraiture alongside my fashion editorial and commercial work. I wanted to be able to combine my knowledge and appreciation of both fashion imagery and travel photography, and bring them into other areas.
My aim is to empower the women I photograph, capturing them in an authentic and contemporary way, emphasising colour, style, and personality - whether that's on location or in a small studio.
